Hurst could decline Shakers deal
Bury boss Alan Knill has admitted that he is facing an uphill struggle to keep hold of striker Glynn Hurst at Gigg Lane.
The 31-year-old forward has been offered a deal at Gigg Lane until the end of the 2008-09 season, but on lower terms.
Hurst has created an impressive strike partnership with Andy Bishop, with the duo notching 25 league goals between them last season.
Knill told the Bury Times: "We have offered him a deal but probably not one that he would have wanted.
"I like the way he plays. He's got a great work ethic and is good in the dressing room but at his age we thought the deal we put forward was fair."
