Mills back at Man City
Hull City have not ruled out re-signing Danny Mills after injury cut short the defender's loan at The KC Stadium.
Mills was due to return to Manchester City after Saturday's Championship game against Stoke City, but Hull had wanted to keep the ex-England international for a further month.
However, a stress fracture to the shin has prompted Mills to head back to City, with Hull disappointed by the setback.
"It is terrible news for Danny and for Hull City," Tigers chairman Adam Pearson told the Yorkshire Post.
"I spoke to Danny this morning and he is very disappointed, but hopefully he will be back playing again by January."
Pearson praised the right back for his displays for Hull and is keeping an open mind about a future deal for the 29-year-old.
He added: "Danny has been fantastic and a credit to himself and Hull City.
"We would have loved to keep him and maybe in the future he will come back.
"He is one of the best loan signings we have made and we had been hoping to extend his stay for another month.
"Unfortunately, that will not now happen, but we wish Danny all the best.
