Hull rule out signing of Juninho

Hull will not be signing Brazilian World Cup winner Juninho.
The 34-year-old former Middlesbrough and Celtic star held talks with the Tigers last weekend and was impressed with the Championship side.

But Hull owner Paul Duffen told BBC Radio Humberside: "I've been consistent about this the whole way through - it's always been a football decision.

"We haven't managed to get completely together on the financial aspects and decided it's not a deal we want to do."

Juninho won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and has also played for Sao Paulo, Vasco de Gama, Flamengo and Palmeiras in his homeland.

He had three spells with Middlesbrough, and last played in Britain for Celtic in 2005 - but is now a free agent.
