Richard Offiong To join Huddersfield?
After Ternent's swoop for Parker, the focus now is on who will be joining him, especially after Ternent's pledge of 'there are more to come'.
As Parker can play as a right-sided midfielder there is a possibility he will play there, rather then up-front (as a lot of people suspect).
Therefore, there may well be another striker coming in, as well as a possible midfielder and defender.
A lot of rumours have sprung up over the last week so here's the strongest ones (in order) for you to
gander at:
Richard Offiong (Hamilton) - Apparently Sheff W are chasing this pacy, powerful striker. However there I also rumoured interest from two league one clubs. Could Town be one of them? They may be, and after Town beating off championship clubs to get Parker, they may have a chance of landing
him too.
Liam Dickinson (Stockport) - Even after his excellent performance in Stockport's promotion to league one, they will struggle to hold onto him. It will probably be a case of which clubs are interested and who fronts the best offer but there is a strong connection with Town as they have
been scouting him for some time .
Chris Lucketti (Southampton) - Lucketti may be getting on a bit but he could be seen as a replacement for Page's experience at the back.
Dominic Matteo (Ex Stoke) - Recently released, Matteo could provide some
much-needed experience in Town's midfield.
Mark Gower (Southend) - The 29 year old regularly finds the back of the net for Southend. This rumour is a bit far fetched, but if Town are aiming to sign player who will help to take us up, Gower would certainly be one of them.
