Season Ticket sales up 70% and Grand stand seats Sold Out - 30th May 2007

Histon FC are looking forward to a bumper attendance at the Fans’ Day this Saturday when supporters’ club secretary Jenny Wells and PR manager Graham Eales welcome the season ticket and supporters’ club members to the Glass World Stadium for a behind the scene look at the club’s facilities and to meet staff, new and existing players and the club’s chairman to discuss the plans for the new season.

The club have been thrilled at the level of interest and have reported a 70% increase on season ticket sales compared with this time last season. The club have also confirmed that the main stand has now sold out of season tickets but hope that by Saturday they will be able to start selling seats In the new Cambridgeshire FA Headquarters Stand which is expected to be available for use by September. Supporters’ club secretary Jenny Wells was thrilled with the level of sales and confirmed the club had been pleasantly surprised by the interest and sales ahead of the fans’ day this Saturday June 2nd; “We knew that interest would be high this year because of the outstanding season we had last season. Everyone is talking about how we are going to do we are all very excited about the prospect of Cambridge United and Oxford United visiting the Glass World Stadium along with all the other big names.

“I think we have seen a surge in sales in the last four weeks as fans realise the manager is making some great signings, it looks as though we are going to have a very good side next year that we can all get excited about. We might not have a season like the last one but we are all very optimistic we can do well, it sounds crazy but we are all looking towards the play offs and with the way our players have performed and the quality we have already signed why not? Whatever happens we are going to enjoy the season, with higher crowds guaranteed. If season ticket sales carry on the way they are we will go into the season with over 600 season ticket holders which will be just wonderful.”

This Saturday’s Fans’ day is set to start at 11.30am with players on hand from midday to meet the fans and discuss next season.
