Gillingham have signed Barnet defender Simon King for £200,000, who has agreed a three-year deal at Priestfield.
The 24-year-old was transfer-listed by the Bees after rejecting a new deal, as he would have been able to leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2008

King made 167 appearances for the Bees after joining from Oxford in 2003.

Great to see The Gills have mad a couple of signings, I do think that Simon King should be a good signing for us. Now all we need is about 13 more players and we should be able to put out a complete team for next season

Where did Gillingham get the money from? I remember reading that they were ten million in debt.
