Fantasy Football League
A few days ago i was contacted asking if i was interested in running a Fantasy Football League at Footballchatter, here is the email.
Hi James, My name is Ed, and I work on an internet-based fantasy football game called SquadGod (SquadGod - Fantasy Football in the Hands of the Fans). We currently have a good base of football blogs using the game on our site, and wanted to know if you'd be interested in getting your members involved too? The game is free, can be fully customised, and requires no leg-work from you - we'd be able to set it all up for you. For the rest of the 2007-08 season, we'd like you to trial the monthly format of our game (players compete for manager of the month and, at the end of the month, points re-set and you can enter an entirely new team for the forthcoming month). With this format it doesn't matter what point in the season people choose to start playing - everyone has the chance to taste success. We can also fully customise our game to look like an extension of your own website (see the attached example we've done for an Aston Villa website). Also, next season, we will be offering every site that signs up with us this season a share of the revenue generated by the advertising within your group - so the game can act as an additional revenue stream for you. Furthermore, with the ability to personalise the injury/points alerts that get sent out to all the members of your group, the game will also give you the ability to promote your own website and news to the members. I hope this sounds like something you'd be interested in giving a go. It'd be great to hear from you. My email is ed@squadgod.com, and my number (UK) is 020 8969 6240. Many thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing what you think. All the best, Ed So i decided to give it a go, please take a look and post your thoughts.. Thx...

The latest email is here with the link to Footballchatters League.
Hi James, The monthly version of the game has now been launched, and I have set up your group. The link for you and your users is: Football Chatter: SquadGod Fantasy Football As I mentioned before, next month we will be able to customise the header and colour scheme of your group, to make it look like an extension of your own website. I hope you and your members enjoy playing the game, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to let me know. All the best, Ed

Ok guys and gals here is the latest email ..
Hi James, The December monthly competition kicks of on Saturday, and there are £500 worth of prizes up for grabs. 1st place: £170 cash and £170 free bet 2nd place: £50 cash and £50 free bet 3rd place: £30 cash and £30 free bet The deadline for the first gameweek of the month passes on Saturday morning at 11.30am (GMT), so please can you make sure that your members are aware of this, as they will give themselves a great chance of winning if they enter before Saturday (playing catch up by entering a week late is never easy!). At the moment you have 7 members in your group, and it'd be great if you could boost that number to make the league more competitive. Many thanks, and very best of luck to everyone involved! Ed
