Your Teams nickname - how did it come about?

Brentford's nickname is "The Bees".

Sometime last century when we played the supporters would shout "Come on you B's" meaning the B in Brentford - However it soon stuck and we Became the BEES.

Not very excitiing but there you go!

swansea - the swansea jacks came from a dog called jack which became famous for saving loads of people that fell into the docks as he used to jump in and pull them out to safty.

Good job they didn't use last season to establish a nickname, or "Gutless T*ssers" could have stuck.

County have been known as The Hatters for over a hundred years!
For the simple reason Stockport was the centre of the British hat making industry

The name's a little bit naff, but it's ours!
Lu'on(Mock Hatters) became known as The Straw Hatters in the 30's, 40 or so years after us and are now regularly referred to as 'The Hatters', a nickname they have no entitlement to. Mind you it's pretty obvious that the people of Lu'on have a very tenuous grasp on reality! How can the sing "In Yaw Narven Slams" without an ironic titter? Anyone who has been to Kenilworthless Road will know what I'm talkin about!
