Norwegian signs in at the Cottage

Fulham have completed the signing of Norwegian international defender Brede Hangeland from Copenhagen.

The player has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at Craven Cottage which will see him tied to the club until the summer of 2011.

Hangeland had reportedly attracted interest from Newcastle, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Manchester City during the summer, but it is Fulham who have secured a deal which will see the defender link-up with Roy Hodgson for a second time after previously playing under the Cottagers boss at Viking.

I'm surprised that Fulham have landed him, he's a very highly rated player and English clubs have been linked with him for a couple of years
