Some facts about Dutch Football
Professional Leagues: There are 2 professional leagues.
-The Holland Casino Eredivisie(called Eredivisie normally) with 18 teams
-The Gouden Gids Division(called First Division) with 19 teams.
When the league is finished the best teams will play-off for the European places.
Promotion/relegation: Bottom of the Eredivisie is relegated directly and the champion of the first division takes there place in the Eredivisie. 16th and 17th of the Eredivisie play play off games against the top team from the first division. After a few knock out rounds the 2 winners go to the eredivisie.
