I think someone needs to teach Rooney the national anthem. Maybe his singing is awful but he could at least mime it

Well after a nervy start I thought we played some great stuff. 2nd Half we could've added 3 or 4 more easily. Apart from their equaliser we looked comfortable at the back. J.Cole, SWP & Jenas stood out for me and we actually can play with a 5 man midfield when we put our minds to it.

I couldn't understand Wayne Rooney in yesterdays game. England chose to play with just Rooney up front, yet time and time again i saw him tracking back to the full back position to defend. He can't be faultered for his determination, but if he's playing as our only striker it's his responsibility to stay up front, he was running around like an over enthusiastic schoolboy yesterday. I think Capello will have realised that if he's going to play with one striker then Rooney isn't his man, we need a lethal finisher when playing that roll.
Overall i thught England passed and kept the ball a lot better than they've done for decades, let's see how we do against France though before we get carried away

I think Rooney was given a free roll and the midfielders Jenas in particular were to go past him on the overlap where possible. Thought when Crouch and SWP came on the team was more balanced. I think Crouch and Rooney will end up being the front 2 and yesterday was just a trial system although it is the sytem used a lot in Italian and Spanish Football so we will just have to wait and see. A good start though and at least football was being played and the players had some sort of idea what they were doing unlike previous managers we could think of.

As for Bentley, well he has to be knocking on the door for the right midfield slot. I don't think Becks will get a shout unless he can prove he's still got what it takes.
