Celtic Cup

Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have agreed "in principle" to play a series of three biennial "Celtic Cup" tournaments.
An agreement signed on Monday commits the countries to arranging the tournaments on a league basis.

Home and away games will be rotated from one tournament to the next with each team playing three matches in each of the competitions.

Last week England distanced themselves from involvement in the tournament.

A great idea, England should have entered it but we probably think it's beneath such a great foootballing nation. We're the laughing stock of football

I have to agree Beefy, It would be an Ideal chance for the new England manager to try out players and work on systems...But of course our players are so good we don't to do things like this...the group would be too difficult for England anyway, all those teams, players full of commitment and passion, no we don't want any of that getting into the England team do we.
