John Terry

John Terry is determined to line up for England in their Euro 2008 qualifier against Estonia.

Steve McClaren has admitted he may rest his captain, who is one booking away from suspension.

That would ensure Terry's availability for the crucial game in Russia three days later, and the Chelsea defender is ready to accept any decision McClaren makes.

But Terry has asked McClaren not to take his fractured cheekbone into consideration, insisting he is fully fit and able to play two games in a week.

"My body is holding up fine," Terry, who has had to wear a protective mask for Chelsea, told the Daily Express.

"I am just delighted to be out there. I will do my best to make sure I am fit to be there week in, week out.

"We will have a chat, but it is all about England and what is best and right for the team, whether it is me, Rio (Ferdinand), Ashley (Cole) or Joe (Cole). We are all on bookings."

Campbell hope

Sol Campbell could be recalled to the England side if John Terry is rested and the Portsmouth defender has told McClaren he is ready to step in.

"I'm there and I'm ready," Campbell said in The Sun. "I've played a lot of big games for England and I'm there for the team."

Campbell is happy with the way he has been playing for the last 12 months and is eager to contribute to England's success in any way he can.

"This is the reward of all those hours I've been putting in. Form comes and goes but talent always stays. It's in the mind.

"With England, it's about having a good squad. If I play then great, if not I'll be there behind the scenes for everyone."
