I wouldn't, i'd get some of the young lads coming through like Lennon the experience they'll need in future years. The English press and fans should ease off with expectation they have on our national side. Every time there' a tournament they expect us to win it, but we're not at that level, certainly not at the World Cup. We're on par with the likes of Spain and Portugal not Italy and Brazil

They should forget about Beckham now and move on. Like Beefy says pick players for the future.

I agree. Every time Lennon played, there was excitement. Dont see why italy is better than england, they were lucky not to go out against the aussies.

They have a winning mentality Junkie, i'm not saying they're a lot better than England, but when it comes to tournaments Italy, Argentina, Brazil and Germany have the nerve to go all the way. Even when these teams are poorer than the rest they still manage to get to the semi's or even final. Look at Italy last year, they weren't the best team in the World Cup, but they lifted the trophy and that's what it's all about. People will say they were lucky to win, and England were unlucky to go out, but i don't buy into that, you make your own luck

Perhaps give him one last send off against Brazil at Wembley next week. I am sure that this match will not be a fully competitive battle.

Beckham should have a chance to say farewell to the fans and also to experience the New wembley as a player

That would be my hope the guy deserves it for what he has done in the past

Haven't you tried all the combinations without Becks and played absolute shit?

I would select him to ensure you qualify for the Euro's - Russia away is a flogging waiting to happen!
