Gallas stripped of Captaincy

William Gallas has been stripped of the Captains role at Arsenal by Arsene Wenger. Gallas had made a very public outburst against his team mates, criticising one player in particular (Not named) for disrupting morale, and saying that they lacked the ambition and courage to win the Premier League earlier in the week. He has not travelled to Manchester with the rest of the team ahead of Arsenal's clash with Man City this weekend. Gallas was heavily criticised last season after his antics during the 2-2 draw with Birmingham City, choosing to stand in the opposite half as James McFadden scored a last minute equaliser from the penalty spot. Former Arsenal left back, Nigel Winterburn has spoken out against Gallas saying that he has undermined Wenger with his outburst.

Wenger had no choice than to drop him, Almunia is captain today. Gallas has gone weird ever since he stood on the half way line when they got a penalty last season.

Should've made Fabregas captain, the only decent lad they have.
