Bellamy Suprised to get Wales Captainship

Craig Bellamy has praised Wales manager John Toshack for having the nerve to make him captain for the first time.

The Liverpool striker will lead his country in the home Euro 2008 qualifiers with Slovakia and Cyprus.

The fiery 27-year-old has had his spats within football and next week will defend an assault charge in court.

"The decision gets a lot of respect from me to John Toshack, I knew of all the attention it would create and it took a lot of nerve," Bellamy said.

I wonder how well he will do?

I cant stand him hes allways been a knob always causes trouble not imo a worthy captain.
if Carl Fletcher starts he should be Captain
Bellamy shouldn't even be in the Liverpool team as he is rubbish

Another bad buy by Rafa was Bellamy. Almost a panic buy.

you really dont know what your on about when it comes to bellamy..the boy has fire in his belly and is one of only a handful of players about who will stand up for themselves against managers, fans etc.

i liked him at norwich, newcastle etc, although i dont think he is right for the captiancy of his home nation.
