Well firstly Fowler WAS God... when he burst onto the sceen he was absolutely teriffic! He was instinctive and yet could score a woulder goal at the same time. Whom ever played alongside him would always seem live in Robbie's shadow. (although there will always be the question 'why was he unable to perfore for england' ?) However fast forward to 7th October 2006 and we can all agree that he is not the player he once was. Injuries took there toll and he never rediscoved his form to the same level. Micheal Owen took his place and he was shipped off to LUFC for a very decent fee! Now i won't deny he does still have an eye for goal... given a chance he is still able to finish! However he does not have the pace to create like a... henry or saha and although he will no doubt score us a few he will certainly not finish our top scorer as he will be no more than a useful bit part player. As for a Leeds reject... check you statistics he had a very good goals to game ratio for them!!!
