That's the 100 million dollar question, do you think Liverpool can win trophies over the next few years, or are they in danger of dropping out of the so called "big 4"

I genuinely believe Liverpool are on the wane.No sympathy like but something very drastic needs to be done and QUICK

I don't think they can compete with Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U over a full Premiership season, but they still look more likely to get Champions League success than the others.

ofcourse we cant compete

we cant afford hargreaves, anderson and nani unlike man utd
we cant afford essien carvalho and terry

benitez is doing the best he can but there are too many so-so players (kuyt or pennant).

and with the yanks undermining rafa's authority the situation becomes even worse.
But things are beginning to go the right way, and i think everybody agrees that liverpool is the only english club that doesnt disappoint in europe.

you are right junkie, concidering the players Rafa has to deal with, he has great success every year
if he manages to buy just one top class player to take of some weight of Gerrards and Torres's shoulder he could win the Premier league
the titles go where the money is, its simple as that

Isn't it strange how when Chelsea won the 1st of their titles the prawn sandwiches cried how unfair it was that they had bought the title. After spending millions on Tevez, Anderson, Hargreaves, and Nani the same people are quiet now it appears man u have done the same

they've spent 70 million, heavily outspending chelsea, arsenal and liverpool.
considering that they're doing bad in the league.

It matters not how much money you spend on players. You still have to have a good Manager to get the best out of them. This season it will be Wenger or Ferguson who gets the best from the players at their disposal in the remaining games.

I've still got a sneaky feeling that Chelsea will pip both of them. Wenger must be worried after seeing saturdays draw with Birmingham, mentally Gallas wants locking up. Fergie has lost the plot, all he seems to be doing is playing his silly mind games, that worked on Keegan 10 years ago but he's dealing with a different class of manager with Wenger.
