Squad rotation?

I feel that Rafa made a mistake by resting players against Portsmouth, his reason for this is that he says he likes players to be fresh but does this harm player morale? Not sure whether they'll be in the starting eleven, even if they were outstanding in the previous match! What do you think?

i saw that when gerrard and torres came on, Liverpool looked 10 times more dangerous than before.

i would rotate, but only two players per match. Not five or six players at once.
