First went there back in about 1974 - supposed to be a pre-season friendly but my late dad got the dates wrong and we saw Aldershit vs Reading. Another "memorable" game was around the late 1980s I think - absolutely shocking 0-0 draw and if I had balls, they would have been frozen solid. Remember going home looking forward to a wonderful stew I'd put in the slow cooker - it was as tough as old boots.

Maine Road...another ground very close to my heart.....my mum and grandparents from manc and I finished me schooling there.........when I was in me teens I used to go when leeds weren't playing...players like tueart and peter barnes playing then. There was even a leeds v wba (cup 2nd replay I think)played there....leeds had the old Kippax end.....guess who were waiting outside after the game though!....think we won 2-1 and it wasnt a long journey home for me either.....towards the end I remember going for a city/leeds game I think we won 3-2.
As for the new ground me an the wifey went to see Oasis there..cracking gig.

Went to Aldershot in the early 90's for a LDV Match one evening .... Didnt have a clue where the ground was and looked out for the floodlights.

Ended up at the Army dry ski slope. Eventually got to the ground about 5 minutes after kick off , if I remember rightly had to walk through the home fans to get to the away end. Cannot remember the score or anything about the match apart from stopping at a Macdonalds on the way home to stuff our faces!
