Unless you've got a minimum £40 million to spend then it's always going to be a struggle. Add to that Billy Davies's lack of experience in the Prem and it was really a "writing on the wall" scenario. Even Sunderland who have spent well this year aren't out of the woods yet. But if the money is made available then there's no reason why they can't have another go at it and with Paul Jewell they have a manager who knows what it takes.

How much did Reading or Wigan spend? Its as much about getting the right balance on the field as it is off.

But as was said above - where's the real quality in the team ? Yes they've made some decent loan signings but that's never going to be enough to keep you in there. Big re-building job for Mr Jewell next season I think.

Hopefully we can bounce right back up we have faith in Jewell,hes a proven manager capable of rebuilding a team.At least we arent in the same division as Florest.
