Eagles snatch Fletcher

Crystal Palace have signed West Ham midfielder Carl Fletcher for £400,000.
Fletcher, 26, was a regular in the Hammers side that won promotion to the Premiership in the 2004-05 campaign.

But he struggled to hold down a place in the top flight last season and has dropped down a division to try and get his career back on track.

The Wales international will further boost a Palace central midfield that boasts Ben Watson, Tom Soares and Michael Hughes.

I have seen this over the years where a player plays all the games in a season the tem gets promoted and thats the last your hear of him for another full season until he is bought again by a team in the league below, They seem only good enough at a certain level or division as they dont take part when the team gets pronoted. I dont suppose a season in the top flight sat on the bench wont do them any harm.
