Coventry 0v0 Sheff. Wed

Well a belated report or comment on last Saturday's game at the Richo but unfortunatley not one that is going to be greatly different. Another week, another game, another chance missed, all sounding very similar this is.

Coventry dominating making twenty or so chances in front of goal and not one converted. Credit to the Sheffield Wednesday keeper for a couple of fine saves that gave Wednesday a point, all in all a good results for the Sheffield team and a seriuos boost to their confidence that they'll be able to take all three points when Coventry go to Hillsborough on April 1st.

Coventry's defence looked fairly solid almost unchallenged really but the woeful forward line Leon Best yet another game without a goal he last scored against Leicester on Feb 23rd and nothing in the last six games. He's out scored by a defender Ward who has scored twice. Thorton and Tabb have the other goals Including Leicester that is played 7, won 2, Drawn 2 and Lost 3 scored for 5 against 6...........

Micheal Mifsud who has not scored in the league since December 4th against WBA and only goals in 2008 came in the cup against Millwall and Blackburn which contributed nothing to our primary objective the league and safety.

Chris Coleman says that he is pleased to have time with his players this week as Coventry have no midweek fixtures this week, hopefully this will give him time to strap a rocket up the arse of the Coventry forward line and get us scoring. Would it not just be worth giving Simpson the start for a change and see if he could do any better, in the end if he doesn't score will it be any different.

I have to say Jay Tabb for me has been the Coventry player of the year and absolute work horse in the midfield and by Covnetry standards a prolific scorer as well.

This is not the form of a team staying up is it in truth we are seriously now paying the price of the finaicial mismanagment of the previous board not being able to secure players of better quality. We have some good young players for the future who may be soon playing in the very league they thought they'd moved out of.

Sorry folks all optimisum for our chances is being slowly knocked out of me if from the last eight games we don't get results from Southampton, Sheff.Wed amd Colchester then we're doomed and cannot see us getting anything from Stoke, Wolves, Plymouth, Watford or Charlton who will be chasing playoff places and we won't stop them.
