Well a good day at last for Coventry fans, a game with several high points.
- A Goal from open play
- A clean sheet
- Control of the game
- And Norwich ended the game with nine men
Jay Tabb played a man of the match role ablely supported in the attcking midfield by Kevin Thornton. It has to be said that the very solid performances by Doyle and Hughes in the defensive midfield roles winning possesion and feeding Tabb and Thornton should not go un-noticed. Strong roles from Fox and Dann in defence and once more match winning saves from Andy Marshall gave us the three points.
One point of concern is the inability of our forwards to convert chances, another game passes with Coventry recording twenty or so attempts on goal and Leon Best is not on the score sheet, nether is michel mifsud. For us to really move up and away from this end of the table we need to start converting the chances the rest of teh team generate.
Leon Best made a lot of noise earlier this season in wanting to go to Forest, he has been presented with a glorious chance to prove his worth and frankly he is begining to show some lacking in front of goal. I wonder whether Chris Coleman is already looking for a replacement, we need someone up front who will convert this chances.
Still a win is a win, whether it is against a team reduced to nine men or not I'll take those three points everytime we move up four places, four points clear of the relgation zone. It's all very tight a game against Sheffield Utd midweek a chance maybe to improve our away form, who knows.....
PLAY UP SKY BLUES, WHILST WE SING TOGETHER WE WILL NEVER .........
