Coventry 4 - 0 Barnsley

Best Brace Proves his Managers Faith

Coventry striker Leon Best bagged a brace as the Sky Blues ran riot to thrash Barnsley at the Ricoh Arena.

Best, a transfer window target for Nottingham Forest, put the hosts ahead when he turned smartly and fired home.

Dennis Souza saw a header hit the bar before Julian Gray steered in a Best cross and then Best headed against the bar, Jay Tabb tapping in the rebound.

Best wrapped up the scoring with a cool finish from 12 yards after Liam Davis flicked on Tabb's left-wing cross.

That is the ultimate question Cov Bee, I think there has been a lot of disharmony in the club, with the takeover, too many players for certain positions, salaries be published by the press I don't think helped and then of course our terrible injury list. Against Millwall we only had one reckonised defender on the pitch.

Dowie has had quite a good clear out really hopefully the players that are left will now have a chance to show us what they can do.

Barnsley helped today by being so poor but that said a win is a win and good one too so hears to the next game....
