SKY Blues' misfit Kevin Kyle is wanted by three Championship clubs.
Plymouth, Burnley and Crystal Palace are understood to have expressed interest in the former Sunderland striker.
Kyle has been surplus to requirement at City ever since he went on loan to Wolves last season and, after criticising sections of the fans, made it difficult for a fully fledged return to the club.
Wolves had the option of making Kyle's switch a permanent one - but decided against the deal.
The 27-year-old is one of the highest paid players at the club and getting him off the wage bill would free up funds to strengthen the squad.
Kyle has been back in pre-season training with the Sky Blues and made two appearances for the side in the club's tour of Switzerland last week.
I have to say he won't be missed at Coventry £450,000 a year a he scored twice in the league last season and he wondered why the fans were on his back....Sorry Kyle two goal at £225,000 a goal is simply not good enough...bye bye.....
