A Solid Start

Well I have to say I am quite pleased with the Sky Blues start to the season a solid start with all of our main strikers opening their accounts. Although some might agrue over the quality of the sides we've played I think Coventry played with a confidence and an ability that seemed to be lacking last year; it is early days yet and the old classic there is still a long way to go but, winning games is good for a team and to win them well is even better.

We have the pleasure this year of having a squad of about 28 players one of the biggest in the league, all players fighting for their places and as against Notts County in the cup we were able to put a team who did an excellent job and rest many of those that played last Saturday. This has to be an advantage as most of players won't be playing twice a week, hence becomeing tired and more prone to injury.

No game is easy in this league and there a lot of very players who can all make a differance to a game if the Coventry team can maintain it's present drive and finishing I hope that we'll be contending toward the end of the season.

Lastly I'd like to give credit to Notts County who came to the Richo last night and played very well never gave up even when they were 3-0 down. The county Keeper worked hard and made many very good saves a solid reliable performance from him

How's little Tabby doing?

Tabby has been excellent, clearly a different player to last year big influance at Barnsley on Saturday and created numerous problems on Tuesday night. I really think he's starting to come into his own at Coventry. He's going to very popular........

I read Tabby set up 3 of the 4 goals Coventry scored in the first game - top little player who tries his heart out for the full 90 mins - asset to any team I reckon
