Aging Nigerian shot stopper Ademola Bankole has signed a deal making him the permanent goalkeeping coach at Colchester United.
Bankole, who played for Queens Park Rangers, Crewe and Brentford in a long and distinguished career, ended his playing days at Colchester.
Bankole, who was the number two keeper at Colchester at the end of the past season, also deputised as keeping coach as the incumbent Aidan Davison battled with a serious shoulder injury.
Davison has now moved to the United States and Colchester moved quickly to install the 38-year-old Nigerian in his place.
