Downing leaves Whaddon road
Keith Downing has left his job as manager of League One side Cheltenham Town by mutual consent.
The Robins are bottom of League One and were beaten 4-1 on Friday evening away at Hartlepool. Downing, 43, was named as Cheltenham manager in November 2007 after a spell as caretaker boss following John Ward's move to Carlisle.

Just been reading the GPG - apparently Martin Allen has been appointed as Cheltenham's new manager. Really pleased to see him back in management - wonder if he'll be able to work his magic.
