That's fine until the player decides he wants to go, then a club like Charlton have to decide if it's better to keep a player who wants to leave and who'll leave for nothing at the end of his contract, or sell now and ge his market value. Bent must be upset about not going to the World Cup, maybe if he'd have been playing for Newcastle he'd have gone, such is football.

Of which i am pleased, i don't believe this player is worth the money. Very few players who stand out for middle of the table clubs make it after a transfer to a top club, in my opinion Bent would be better off staying where he is, it will only ruin his career if he was to leave for a higher club. Thou you cant blame a player for wanting to move to a bigger club for more money.
