Charlton have agreed a deal to sign Uruguayan defender Gonzalo Sorondo on a permanent basis.
The 26-year-old has spent the past season loan at The Valley from Inter Milan, but his contract with the Italians expires this summer.
He will sign for Charlton as soon as it runs out.
Sorondo is the second new signing for managerless Charlton within days after the capture of American defender Cory Gibbs from Feyenoord.
Suspension and injuries restricted Sorondo to seven Premiership appearances although he appeared in the Addicks' last six matches.
He spent the previous season on loan at Crystal Palace.
