Carlisle reject bid for Bridges
Darlington have had a club record £250,000 bid for Carlisle striker Michael Bridges turned down.
The offer came after manager David Hodgson received the financial backing of chairman George Houghton. But their advance was not enough to tempt the Cumbrian club to sell their biggest star. The 27-year-old forward began his career at Sunderland, before spending spells at Leeds, Newcastle, Bolton, Sunderland and Bristol City. f chatter.jpg
