Cardiff are lining up a move for Rangers striker Kris Boyd.

The forward top scored for Rangers with 25 goals last season as Walter Smith's men won the CIS Insurance Cup and the Scottish Cup.

However, the signings of Kenny Miller and Kyle Lafferty and the imminent arrival of Andrius Velicka will increase competition for places at Ibrox next season.
