Matthew Blinkhorn and Jon Newby scored the goals which earned Morecambe a place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy northern area final against Grimsby.
Ex-Shaker Blinkhorn put the hosts ahead early on with a diving header from Garry Thompson's right-wing cross.

Stewart Drummond hit the post for the hosts, while Dave Challinor headed over and Andy Mangan missed an open goal six minutes from time as Bury pressed.

Newby, who also played for Bury, sealed it with a neat finish at the death.
