McCall resigns

Bradford City manager Stuart McCall has resigned from his post after 3 years in charge.

McCall was forced to cut his budget in the summer following the clubs failure to gain promotion last season and City's form this time has been erratic and they currntly lie in the bottom half of League 2.

City's home defeat to Bury on Saturday was their sixth defeat in the last 9 games

Not good form at all - haven't heard from the Bowlerman for a while - I wonder what his perspective is on it all.

I can't understand why Bradford struggle so much, it's a big city and should be able to attract more fans than they do. They should quite easily be playing in a higher division with the resources they can draw from.

I thought they'd always played at an higher level than the bottom tier Steve, i know they made the Premiership for a couple of seasons but they're a club that go from one crisis to another. Maybe it'll always be a Rugby League city and football will come second.

As far back as I can remember, with the exceptions previously memntioned, Bradford City have always played their football in the lower leagues, as for the Rugby League team ....they WERE the best a few years ago

They always seem a lower division club to me. I would probably say something like League 1 would be their natural home, although I am sure one or two others might see it differently.
