Cherries expecting deduction blow

Bournemouth administrator Gerald Krasner believes the relegated club will start the new League Two season with a 15-point deduction.

During a press conference on Tuesday afternoon Krasner stated that he expects the Dean Court club to be handed the same punishment as Leeds were last year for breaking insolvency rules.

But no decision of a points penalty will be made until the consortium headed by chairman Jeff Mostyn has had its bid approved by the Football League.

"There are no hard and fast rules and it is all under consideration by the Football League," said Krasner. "I believe, subject to a 16-point plan being accepted by the Football League, that Bournemouth will indeed start next season with a 15-point penalty."

He also announced that he has received finances from the consortium.

"I'm due to get some money this week and hopefully the balance of it next week. At this point, we will be a lot further forward in submitting the 16-point plan needed by the Football League to get the share back."

I hope Bournemouth survive next season simply for Cunning Stunts sake, maybe with Luton getting a deduction as well it'll spur both clubs on.

it will be interesting to see what point deduction they receive, i think 15 is the only fair amount but reckon it will be less, 5 - 10.
