I would forbid michael owen to play for england. Look at his wage at newcastle and he has only played five times.

I agree with Mabudi, if a player is away on International duty it should be up to the countries FA to insure him. The problem with that is many countries can't afford to insure their players, so what happens then. Take the Ivory Coast for instance, how can they be expected to pay insurance for players like Drogba. they simply can't afford it.
There should be an International fund where each countries FA pays an amount in in relation to what they can afford. The Premiership would oviously pay a lot more than the Ivory Coast

hmmm.... so England, Spain etc. have to pay for Drogba to play for Ivory Coast
i dont know if this would work, cause the Nations which need the player dont have the money to pay them, so someone has to pay for them,
but who!? and why!?!

I don't know, but if the clubs are moaning then something will have to be done. The fact is small countries can't afford to play big stars insurance policies, therefore players will have to sort it out, either through themselves or in their contracts with clubs

only insurance for friendlies or when the player in question isnt totally fit.
