Stanley land Almeida
Accrington Stanley have completed the signing of Portuguese defender Mauro Almeida.
Almeida was spotted by Stanley boss John Coleman (pictured) while the club were on a training break in Spain.
The 25-year-old, who had a trial at Plymouth last summer, moves to the Fraser Eagle Stadium until the end of the season from Vihren Sandanski.
Almeida began his career with Porto, although he failed to make a first-team appearance, and has also plied his trade in Holland and most recently Bulgaria.
Coleman hopes for international clearance in time to allow the stopper to feature in Saturday's League Two game against Chester
