Accy Stanley CD Out Now

Local Accrington band Celtic Cross have just released "Stanley`s Back" an EP of Stanley Anthems for just £3. The CD contains 4 tracks and is available via the online store at

The launch will be on Saturday 21st October 2006 when Accrington entertain Walsall at the FES, followed by a FREE live concert by Celtic Cross in the Sports Bar on Thursday 26th from 7.30 . Anyone welcome.
Go on have a listen, even if you`re not a Stanley Fan you`re still gonna love it.

You can`t download the full songs just the sample clips, this is trying to raise a bit of cash for our little club, and it will be a bit, so please don`t encourage filesharing (for a few months at least). I must say everyone`s been very welcoming on this site, i especially like the announcement threads that go out when you join, you feel really important for a bit.
I tried to upload my avatar but it wouldn`t let me so I`ll just fly the Stanley flag for now.
Try the link from the first post to our news page, right click and save target as if you want to DL the samples there. Hey why not check out the guitar chords and learn to play them for yourself !
If you look in the music section of the website you can download complete versions of some of the other rubbish we play and check the live dates as we could well play somewhere near you. Or if we don`t and you have a local pub which does live music and you want a punk rock/Irish folk duo e-mail or PM me and we`ll sort something out.

Hey Zero, we all know Accy has quite a bit of history behind it, but how does it feel to be back into the major leagues? Also where do you stand in the money league, have you enough to survive and stay here. Great to se your team back where they belong.

Is league 2 Major ?
Everyone`s excited here with the start we`ve had and think we`re gonna make play offs but promotion would cause more problems than it would solve. I think we can easily live with it in league 2 and winning games and establishing ourselve in the league, getting more fans in and more media can only help the finances. Weve already beat some good teams at home and we`ll beat some more. We`ve not a massive attendance but Stanley`s fanbase is worldwide, people like yourselves are happy to see us do well and our fans mostly want to make friends. The ground needs improvement so buy loads of CDs and we`ll put a roof on.
