Alcides to replace Carvalho?
CHELSEA are planning for life without ace Ricardo Carvalho.
Blues defender Alcides, who has been on loan at PSV Eindhoven for the last 18 months, has been earmarked as the Portugal star's replacement.
The Brazilian will report for pre-season training next week as he starts his Chelsea career.
And he insists his arrival signals the end of Carvalho's stay at Stamford Bridge.
Alcides said: "PSV wanted me to stay but I have learned that Chelsea want me back.
"It seems Carvalho is leaving and I am going to replace him."
