the fact you didnt see evra play says enough. If you didnt see evra play (knowing the only english team you know is man utd), you havent seen gerrard either. The players you summed up there are good, but are they the leader-type that takes his beloved team to the highest echelon of football? did they win their team an european cup single-handedly? Do they score last minute goals? do they hold the captain's band? dont think so. Gerrard is the best midfielder in the world, considering his fighting spirit en all-round play. Sure some players can play more beautiful, but you cant always rely on them (brazilians, party boys). Gerrard is topclass. Better than anybody, everybody denying it knows nothing about football.

i do often have the privileg to watch Liverpool because Croatian television most of the time buy Liverpool matches cause we all like their style of play!! this season i watched about 10 liverpool games plus 2 games against Croatia, and he didnt impressed me in neither of this games
