Steve McClaren

Before Israels win over Russia on saturday the papers were reporting how Steve McClaren should do the decent thing and resign as England manager. If they stood by their conviction of McClaren not being up to the job, how can a game that he had nothing to do with (Israel V Russia) change the way the papers see him. If England beat Croatia by 2-0, we'll have won the group. Will the FA still sack him ?, i doubt it. Should the country get behind him and his squad of players.
I think we should get behind the country, but lower our expectation of winning the tournament. England aren't as bad as we make out when things are going wrong. On the other hand we're not as good as we make out when things are going well.

i think england has the best national team on paper.
england has better players than for instance germany, but the germans somehow always play very well together.

After tonight's debacle, I would have thought he should go. Crap tactics in the first half; bring it back to 2-2 and then sit back.

Carson? Was it Frank Carson in goal?

Utter crap and we deserved to go out.

Players did not deserve to be out. Team deserved not to be there as they did not have a manager to blend them in.

4-5-1? WTF?
Beckham came on and provided the cross for Crouch for the equaliser (the only two people that looked like footballers on the pitch tonight),we were playing 4-4-2 and starting to get the upper hand so what's the obvious thing to do?,that's right go back to 4-5-1 and wait to get beat on the counter.
What an arsehole, the most obvious thing for a blind man to see was Cole off,SWP into the middle of midfield running alongside Becks and we could have opened them up.

The sentiments from this end as well. Maybe advice had been sought from the ex England captain Terry Butcher - those are the tactics he tends to play at home with Brentford.

Lets hope this is the end of all our miseries and see the back of McClaren and his poor side kick Venables.
