Barnet have signed Mansfield's Welsh under-21 striker Adam Birchall on loan until 2 January.

The 21-year-old began his career at Arsenal and spent three months on loan at Wycombe before joining the Stags.

Barnet boss Paul Fairclough told his club's website: "Adam was a bright and lively forward at Arsenal who attracted a lot of attention while he was there."

Birchall said: "This move has given me a new lease of life and I am looking forward to enjoying my football again."
